Byeon Woo Seok Returns to Singapore to a Sea of Cheers

After a two-year wait, Singapore TongTongs were finally reunited with beloved actor Byeon Woo Seok as he returned to The Star Vista, where he was greeted by an overwhelming wave of cheers and glowing Seok Bong lightsticks.

The excitement in the venue was unmistakable as fans eagerly awaited the actor’s return. Before he even took the stage, the crowd erupted into a spirited chant of “Woo Seok!” three times, filling the venue with anticipation.

Byeon Woo Seok opened the evening with “Flower Road,” immediately setting a bright and upbeat mood. Fans enthusiastically sang along, turning the performance into an early highlight and a shared moment of connection between the actor and his Singapore supporters.

After his opening song, Byeon Woo Seok returned to the stage for a short introduction, sharing his excitement about being back in Singapore and meeting his fans once again.

“Every time I come to Singapore, I always get excited,” he said, recalling his previous visit to the city-state. “The last time I came, I ate a lot of chilli crab. Yesterday, I arrived and I ate crab again.”

He also spoke fondly about exploring Singapore, describing it as “such a pretty place.” After his meal, the actor revealed that he went for a walk and spent some time taking in the city.

When the MC asked where exactly he had visited, Byeon Woo Seok playfully replied that he had walked around some of the most famous places in Singapore, adding that his fans would already know which places he was referring to.

With a stack of books in hand as he kicked off the fan meeting and his signature warm charm on full display, Byeon Woo Seok set the tone for an evening filled with music, laughter and heartfelt interactions.

A Peek Into His “Secret Records”

The first segment of the fan meeting, titled “Librarian’s Secret Records,” offered fans a glimpse into what Byeon Woo Seok had been up to over the past two years.

One of the questions asked what had happened in his life during that time and what simple routines had recently brought him happiness.

The actor shared that overseas fan meetings had become one of the simple things that made him happy. He said he had been enjoying the opportunity to meet fans in different countries and connect with them in person.

Looking back on his previous fan meeting in Singapore two years ago, Byeon Woo Seok admitted that he had been extremely nervous at the time.

“Two years ago, I was too nervous, and it was kind of difficult to make eye contact with the fans,” he shared.

This time around, however, he feels more confident. He explained that he is now able to look at individual fans and connect with them more comfortably, reflecting how he has grown more at ease during fan meetings.

The next question asked about the things he had recently become better at putting up with, as well as the things he could not stand the most.

His answer was characteristically straightforward: “I don’t put up with anything.”

He explained that when evening comes, he sometimes feels like eating fruit or simply feels sleepy — and when that happens, he just listens to himself and goes to sleep.

The topic of fruit soon sparked another sweet interaction with the audience.

One fan held up a banner asking him to “Please eat watermelon.” Upon seeing it, Byeon Woo Seok wondered whether watermelon season had already ended.

When he learned that Singapore has watermelon all year round, the actor happily said that he would eat it, drawing cheers and laughter from the audience.

When asked about a small goal he hoped to achieve for the rest of 2026, Byeon Woo Seok revealed that his focus is currently on his upcoming drama, Solo Leveling.

“These days, I am filming a new drama, Solo Leveling. I really want to wrap up the drama very, very well,” he shared, before warmly asking fans to look forward to the project.

The light-hearted moments continued when the MC attempted to speak in Singlish. Byeon Woo Seok appeared to enjoy the local touch, before adorably joining in with a cheerful, “Okay lah!”

His playful response immediately delighted the crowd, adding another distinctly Singaporean touch to the evening.

The excitement continued with a special game segment, where lucky fans had the chance to step onto the stage and act alongside Byeon Woo Seok — a moment that had the rest of the venue bursting with excitement and playful envy.

The first lucky fan was invited to recreate a scene with Woo Seok, delivering the line, “The first time I saw you, you were so pretty.” The adorable exchange was met with loud cheers from the audience. As a special bonus, she also got to take a selca with Woo Seok, who sweetly posed with her in a heart gesture.

The second fan got an equally memorable acting moment, recreating a scene where Woo Seok was reaching for a book. As she offered to help him take a book from the shelf, screams erupted from the audience, with fans reacting to the sweet interaction with plenty of playful envy.

For their selca, Woo Seok once again struck a heart pose alongside the fan, sending the crowd into another round of cheers.

When the MC later asked Woo Seok how he found the segment, he gave a simple but sincere answer: “It was fun acting with the fans.”

Sweet Vocals and an Up-Close Encounter

Launching into the fan-favourite “Sudden Shower” from the beloved drama Lovely Runner, Byeon Woo Seok captivated the hall with his sweet vocals, leaving the audience hanging on to every note.

He soon returned to the stage to perform “No Fate.” With “Loveholic” and “Run Run” playing in the background, Byeon Woo Seok made his way through the first floor, stopping along the aisles to greet Singapore TongTongs up close.

He waved, exchanged heart gestures with fans and did his best to connect with as many supporters as possible. The unexpected close-up interaction sent waves of excitement through the venue.

At one point, Byeon Woo Seok mentioned that he would have loved to make his way up to the second floor to greet even more fans. However, due to safety considerations, he was unable to do so. Despite this, his efforts to get as close to the audience as possible were met with enthusiastic cheers from fans throughout the venue.

A Fan-Filled Finale

As the fan meeting moved into its final chapter, the spotlight returned to the Singapore TongTongs, giving Byeon Woo Seok the opportunity to share even more personal and heartwarming moments with his fans.

He took time to read messages written by fans on green four-leaf-clover-shaped confetti, pausing to give each heartfelt note his attention.

Three lucky fans were then treated to a special surprise as Byeon Woo Seok personally prepared egg rolls for them, adding adorable ketchup hearts to each serving. The thoughtful gesture drew plenty of cheers from the audience.

For the lucky fans who shared the stage with him, it was undoubtedly a moment to remember. For everyone else in the audience, it became another highlight of an evening filled with opportunities to see the actor up close.

The night gradually drew to a close with a special photo session, followed by “Sudden Shower,” as Singapore TongTongs joyfully sang along. Byeon Woo Seok joined in with a short snippet of the beloved song, creating one final shared moment between the actor and his fans.

For his final performance of the evening, Byeon Woo Seok took the stage with “Fate Line” from Perfect Crown, bringing the fan meeting to an emotional close.

“I had an amazing time. I’ll try my best to come back as quickly as possible. I’m working really hard on my new drama, so please wait patiently for me. Let’s meet next time!”
