Red Velvet Celebrating Their Flourishing 10 Years Journey with ReVeluv on Their Fancon in Jakarta

Just as Wendy said, the ‘2024 Red Velvet FANCON TOUR <HAPPINESS : My Dear, ReVe1uv>‘ is an exceptional show as they’re celebrating the group’s 10th year anniversary, “kami sudah debut 10 tahun!” (we’ve debuted for 10 years!).

Starting off loud with cheers, their debut song, Happiness, was performed with 4 members, Irene, Seulgi, Wendy, Joy. Just as the story goes, Yeri, the youngest member joined them for the Ice Cream Cake and continues thriving with the group uptill now.

The fancon truly captures Red Velvet journey, I believe fans could feel the same, the goosebumps on each performance and VCR, from the beginning until the very last song Cosmic. Fans were brought to feel nostalgic and enjoy each step of the group show throughout the fancon. The fancon also shows the members’ solo performances, opening each song they perform.

While enjoying the show, the members don’t forget to greet fans in bahasa Indonesia and keep trying to interact with fans in bahasa Indonesia, causing uproar in the hall and fascinated on how good their pronunciation was. Red Velvet shared they always feel delighted to come to Indonesia as they always feel welcomed with the loud cheer that they can hear from the backstage and through their in ear. Though it’s just one year apart since their last visit, it feels long but short before finally Red Velvet and ReVeluv can meet again.

The show also have some short counseling session where fans put their concern on a post it and members can read it and give their answer. On this Seulgi, who picked a question on which song is her favorite on the setlist, said all of the songs in the setlist were curated based on their favorite, so she can’t choose one. While one fan said she/he’s having hard time in the office due to one of the colleague, the member jokingly said defending the OP, “who’s having you hard time? who ask you to go overtime? Let’s fight”. While Yeri said she can’t really give any suggestion as it’s also similar in Korea where the seniority and work sometimes feel heavy, and Irene said to keep on doing their best because we don’t always meet someone that match with us.

The 14 songs performed and time flies quickly as we enjoyed the show, before finally Red Velvet coming back again on stage for encore with 5 more songs and ending the part with Zimzalabim.

We hope to see more of Red Velvet in the future with their unique songs and performance that never fail to capture our hearts.
