iKON FOUREVER Concert in Jakarta: A Long-Awaited Reunion With Indonesian iKONICs

South Korean boy group iKON finally reunited with Indonesian fans through the iKON “FOUREVER” WORLD TOUR 2026 in JAKARTA, held at Istora Senayan on Friday, August 21, 2026. Promoted by WithUs Indonesia, the concert marked the group’s return to Indonesia after nearly three years and marked as a new chapter of iKON, following a period in which several members stepped away from group activities to fulfill their mandatory military service. With Jay, SongBobby, and Chan back on stage together after completing their service, the FOUREVER tour became their first major tour as a four-member unit following the military hiatus.

For Indonesian iKONICs, the Jakarta concert was therefore more than a regular stop on a world tour. After years of waiting and changes within the group, the night brought the members and their fans together again through the music that had connected them for more than a decade.

The reunion quickly turned into a high-energy celebration when iKON made its first appearance on stage. The four members opened the concert with “Ah Yeah,” followed by a consecutive run of “Tantara,” “BLING BLING,” “SINOSIJAK,” and “DRAGON.” The opening sequence reflected the energetic stage identity that has become closely associated with the group.

While the FOUREVER tour has followed a similar structure across its stops, the Jakarta concert had several moments that made the night feel distinctly personal for Indonesian iKONICs. One of them came during Chan’s solo performance of “YOU.” Instead of simply performing the song as he had in previous stops, Chan stood behind a piano and played the instrument himself while singing. The unexpected addition immediately caught the audience’s attention, as this marked the first time during the FOUREVER tour that he performed the song with a piano.

The surprises continued when Bobby suddenly performed “Tropical Night,” an unreleased song that was not part of the expected setlist. The unexpected performance quickly became one of the night’s memorable moments. But perhaps what made the Jakarta stop feel most personal was how naturally the members interacted with the Indonesian audience. Throughout the night, they showed off their familiarity with Indonesian expressions, with Song telling the crowd, “iKONIC itu my mine gue! (iKONIC is mine!) Chan then followed with, “Nggak mau pulang, maunya digoyang! (I don’t want to go home, I just want to party!) while Bobby and Jay repeatedly threw in “Mantul, mantul (so good) drawing laughter and cheers from the audience. Rather than feeling like prepared fan-service lines, the exchanges gave the concert a distinctly local flavor, making the members’ return to Jakarta feel like a reunion specifically shared between iKON and Indonesian iKONICs.

The emotional peak of the night came toward the end of the concert, when Indonesian iKONICs prepared a special video fan project for the group. As the video played across the venue, accompanied by “Ingatlah Hari Ini” by Project Pop, the atmosphere inside Istora Senayan changed once again. The message from the fans appeared to resonate deeply with the members, who could be seen smiling and taking in the moment as they received the affection from the crowd.

But the night did not end on a quiet or purely emotional note. iKON continuing to interact and have fun with iKONIC. Even the dancers and live band members joined in the excitement on stage, dancing and celebrating alongside iKON and the fans. By the final moments, the boundary between performer and audience seemed to disappear as everyone in the venue joined the celebration.

“Every time I come here, I’m always touched by the love and support you give us. I hope iKON can return all the love that you have given us. We’ll come back again someday, together with DK and Jun,” said Jay expressing his gratitude for the unwavering support from Indonesian fans. With that promise still lingering in the air, iKON’s FOUREVER concert in Jakarta came to an end, not simply as a return after a long absence, but as another chapter in the lasting relationship between iKON and Indonesian iKONICs. See you at another concert iKONICs!
