Jacob of THE BOYZ to Make Official Solo Debut with 1st Digital Album “j.” on June 10
JACOB is set to embark on a new chapter in his career with the release of his first solo album,“j.” Marking his official debut as a solo artist, the project captures JACOB’s personal musical identity through a collection of nostalgic, easy-listening pop tracks centered around the theme of love. Known globally as a member of THE BOYZ, JACOB describes the album as “a guiding step to show everyone what my colour truly is,” sharing that the project was created alongside longtime friends and collaborators who have supported his artistic journey and helped shape the sound and direction of the album.

The album title,“j.”, was intentionally kept simple, taking inspiration from the first letter of JACOB’s name to symbolize both a fresh beginning and the start of a new musical era. While Jacob has previously showcased his songwriting and musical sensibilities through independent releases on SoundCloud and YouTube,“j”. represents his first opportunity to fully present the music and stories he has long wanted to share with fans and the public. Drawing influence from artists such as Ed Sheeran, Keshi, HAIM, and Men I Trust, the album blends warm pop melodies with romantic and reflective storytelling. The title track, Slow Dancing, captures the album’s sentimental and dreamy atmosphere through soft melodies and emotional lyricism, reflecting JACOB’s signature easy-listening style and down-to-earth musical sensibility.

Reflecting on his solo debut, JACOB shared,“As a kid growing up in Canada, I always dreamed of making music and singing for people around the world. I’m grateful to everyone who helped me begin this new journey alongside The B.” Through “j.”, JACOB hopes listeners will find comfort, connection, and relatability within the music, while also discovering a deeper side of him as both an artist and storyteller. The release marks the beginning of JACOB’s evolving journey as a solo musician, and he looks forward to connecting with fans around the world through his music and future projects.
