Kyuhyun Marks 10 Years of His Solo Journey with an Epic and Successful Concert in Jakarta

Starting the “Kyuhyun 10th Anniversary Asia Tour [COLORS] in Jakarta” which was held on February 8, 2025, at The Kasablanka Hall, Kyuhyun began the night with “Restart” dressed in an all-black outfit. To set the mood for the concert, the singer performed the uplifting song “Together”.

Returning to greet his fans after a year, Kyuhyun expressed his longing for them. “Kyupiter, ELF, Ayang, Aku kangen! (Darling, I miss you)” he exclaimed, greeted by enthusiastic cheers from the fans. He continued, “The screams are so loud, I was really surprised. You all have to maintain this energy until the end, okay?”

Debuting as a soloist in 2014, Kyuhyun has released numerous masterpieces and contributed to many drama OSTs. That night, he asked the fans to sing along to his OSTs from popular drama and film, “Confession is Not Flashy” and “Still Our Love Continues”. Lyrics were displayed on the screen, and as expected, Indonesian fans sang both songs flawlessly. “Are you Korean? You’re all so good at this!” Kyuhyun praised. The singer expressed his admiration for the audience’s voices, saying, “Not only are you great at singing, but your voices are also beautiful! They say fans resemble their idols, so that means you all sound as good as me.” Though he joked, what he said was fact, as both Kyuhyun and ELF Kyupiter were talented singers.

Before the Jakarta concert, Kyuhyun surprised his fans by covering the Indonesian song “Jiwa yang Bersedih”. That night, he took it a step further by bringing the original singer, Ghea Indrawari, on stage for a duet. The beautiful harmonization between the two singers from different countries left the audience in awe. After the duet, Ghea shared that Kyuhyun is a very humble person. She also revealed that she had practiced a sentence in Korean to express her gratitude to him: “Kyuhyun, thank you for this opportunity, it is an honor for me.” In response, Kyuhyun also expressed his appreciation, saying, “Thank you so much for coming. Right now, you are my favorite Indonesian singer. You’re number one!”

In the middle of the concert, Kyuhyun added to the excitement by approaching fans in every section while singing “Time with You” and “Flying, Deep in the Night”. He had done the same act in his previous solo concert, where he looked closely at fans, waved, responded to their poses, and gave the best fan service. Moments like these are precious memories for both idol and fans, when the idol sees those who support and love him up close, and when fans get to see the person who brings joy to their daily lives smiling and greeting them right before their eyes.

The atmosphere of the concert reached a new level when the ballad concert transformed into a party with the upbeat song “Bring It On”, followed by a medley of Super Junior hits “U”, “Sorry, Sorry”, “Devil”, and “Super Clap”. The audience sang along enthusiastically throughout the performances.

Showcasing his charm as both a 20-year idol and a 10-year soloist, Kyuhyun barely took any breaks between his energetic dance performances and heartfelt ballads. As expected, he flawlessly sang “Horizon”, nailing the high notes as if he hadn’t just danced passionately before. Kyuhyun also performed “Sisa Rasa” by Mahalini, a song he had covered in his previous concert. With perfect pronunciation and a mesmerizing voice, he deeply moved the audience.

Before closing the concert, Kyuhyun talked about Super Junior’s 20th-anniversary celebration. “Looking ahead, I’m not sure when I’ll have another solo concert. Maybe we won’t see each other for the next two years. But what year is it now? It’s Super Junior’s 20th anniversary. So maybe, the next time I return here, I’ll come back in idol mode.”

Kyuhyun ended the night with a warm and heartfelt message in Indonesian: “Saya tidak akan lupa hari ini, aku cinta kamu! Saya akan kembali lagi. (I will never forget today. I love you! I will come back again.) Everyone, wait for me, okay?”

With “Wishes” as the final song, Kyuhyun officially concluded his solo concert. We sincerely wish to experience another Kyuhyun solo concert. Kyuhyun still delivered a well-rounded concert experience. One moment, you’re wiping away tears from his beautiful voice, and the next, you’re laughing, feeling like you’re part of the funniest stand-up show! He blended emotional ballads, dynamic performances, intimate fan interactions, giving us an unforgettable experience.
