Rockstar Suho Concludes Asia Tour with a Resounding Success in Jakarta

EXO’s Suho returned to Indonesia as a soloist for his first-ever solo concert, “2024 SUHO CONCERT SU:HOME IN JAKARTA”, held on August 10, 2024, at Tennis Indoor Senayan. On that sunny Saturday, the venue was filled with sea of pink-clad EXO-Ls eagerly awaiting their beloved idol. (FYI, pink is the concert dress code).

The concert began at 3 PM WIB, with the star of the show appearing on stage. Sticking to his ‘home’ concept, the curtains rose, revealing Suho lying on the bed. After waking up, he stretched and picked up his electric guitar to perform “Mayday” and “Morning Star”, followed by “Grey Suit” and “Self-Portrait”. These folk and ballad songs set a calm tone for the concert’s opening.

Dressed in an all-black with glittery outfit that made him shine even more, Suho greeted fans in bahasa Indonesia, saying, “Aku kangen kalian semua (I miss you all),” which was responded with loud screams as fans expressed how much they missed him too. He then moved to the extended stage to get closer to the fans. Since the Jakarta concert was the final stop on his Southeast Asia tour, it felt even more meaningful for him, and he asked fans to enjoy the concert as if there were no tomorrow. Before moving on to the next song, he introduced a track he wrote while thinking of EXO and EXO-L, “Zero Gravity”.

Finally, Suho unveiled his inner rockstar, heated up the concert atmosphere with new songs from his latest third mini album, “Cheese (featuring Wendy of Red Velvet)“, and performed a British rock song, “1 to 3”, as well as the serotonin-boosting track, “Hurdle”. It was thrilling to see him having fun on stage while effortlessly hitting every high note.

Like in other countries, the stage setup included a second floor and stairs. Suho moved back and forth on the stairs while singing with stable vocals. He also delivered an excellent performance with a musical touch during “Wishful Thinking”, showcasing his talent as a musical actor.

Throughout the show, Suho showered his fans with compliments. The fans gave him non-stop cheers, loud screams, and enthusiastic sing-alongs, leading him to say that the energy from Indonesian fans was hot. The singer was also noticed that fans were dancing during the “Moonlight” performance. With full of smile, he said, “Honestly, if you enjoy this concert with excitement, I will have fun too!”

During the concert, Suho interacted closely with fans, especially during his performance of “Alright, Alright (feat. GIRIBOY)”. He left the stage and entered the VIP area, offering fan service by greeting fans and taking their phones to record himself singing. As he moved around, he also greeted fans in the tribune area. The highlight of the performance was when both Suho and all the fans jumped together, including the fans in the tribune standing up and vibing to the song.

As the Southeast Asia tour concludes with great success, Suho is scheduled to bring his tour to Europe, Dubai, and Japan starting this September. We wish him the best for the next stops of the concert.
