TikTok Revealed as Main Sponsor of the 37th Golden Disc Awards with TikTok

TikTok, a global short-form mobile video platform, announced as the main sponsor of the ‘37th Golden Disc Awards with TikTok’ that will be held in Rajamangala National Stadium, Bangkok, Thailand on the 7th January.

In particular, TikTok will broadcast this awards event live globally and exlcusively, and at the same time, it will conduct a global vote for the ‘The 37th Golden Disc Awards Official Fan Vote with TikTok’. Live streaming of this event will be aired not only through TikTok but also JTBC2, and JTBC4 channels and reaired on JTBC.

The vote has been opened on last 20th December and anyone can vote for ‘The 37th Golden Disc Awards Official Fan Vote with TikTok’ with a TikTok account until 2.00 pm (GMT+7) on the 29th (Thu). There are total of 37 artists (solo/group) who are nominated for Digital Song of the Year and Album of the Year categories. One account can vote up to 3 times per day by searching ‘Goldendisc’ on TikTok, and 2 more ballots will be provided when voters share on their social media account. To raffle winners, a total of 500 on-site tickets for Golden Disc Awards will be given (2 tickets per person). 

So far, the ‘Golden Disc Award with TikTok’ has revealed up to 2nd lineups. The list includes (G)I-DLE, NewJeans, LE SSERAFIM, BE’O, BIG Naughty, Seventeen, Stray Kids, PSY, IVE, ENHYPEN, Younha, j-hope of BTS, and TREASURE, with additional lineups to be released.

Sally Baek, the marketing director of TikTok Korea, stated that “TikTok app enables worldwide K-POP fans to enjoy our event amid the heightened interest in K-POP among local and global fans.” She also added, “we will continuously provide entertainment content that the global community can take pleasure in through various partnerships and content collaboration.”

TikTok, the global short-form mobile video platform, has consistently presented entertainment content where everybody can join and have fun, making considerable efforts to reinforce leadership and content diversification in the short-form platform industry. Last year, it participated as title sponsor of the 2021 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA), the largest music awards in Asia, giving TikTok-only pleasure with voting events and exclusive short-form videos to global fans.
