2015 Eru Jakarta Concert: It’s HAPPENING!

Eru has been constantly throwing concert in Indonesia since 2013, so 2015 of course wouldn’t be any difference! This year Eru happily announced his concert HAPPENING, which held at Tennis Indoor Senayan, Jakarta on November 7. The event welcomed by a quite heavy rain earlier that day, but that didn’t reduce any positive energy from all the elements of the concert, starting from the dancers to Eru himself. For this year’s concert, Eru proudly brought J-Yo (from Lucky J) and the Hip Hop duo, Mighty Mouth, consists of Shorry J and Sangchu, to join him up the stage and of course his beloved father, Trot singer, Tae Jin Ah.

The concert started around 7:40 PM with a pop arts themed VCR which show Eru losing his significant helmet and the VCRs continue along the whole show with story that related to the concert contents itself. Twenty seven songs in total were sung in the concert, including performances by special guest stars.

For the two hours show, Eru successfully cover all the needs of audiences with all kind of performances from ballad, hip hop, trot, dance performance, EDM, to even sexy stage. Not only his hits such as Black Glasses and White Snow, but Eru also covered hits from both Korea and international music such as BIGBANG’s Bang Bang Bang, GD & Taeyang’s Good Boy, Taeyang’s Eyes, Nose, Lips, Sam Smith’s I’m Not the Only One, Maroon 5’s Move Like Jagger, Mark Ronson’s Uptown Funk, and not forgetting Korean version of Craig David’s Insomnia. Eru also successfully brought back drama nostalgia and conveyed the feelings of drama OSTs he sang before, Temptation from Temptation OST and Secret from Secret OST.

HAPPENING completed by the special guests’ performances from J-Yo’s Don’t Judge Me, Mighty Mouth’s Bad Boy, Movie Star, La La La, and NANJANGPAN, Tae Jin Ah’s JINJINJARA, I Like You, Companion, and of course their stages with the main man, Eru. Bringing back the memories of KBS Music Bank in Jakarta back in 2013, Eru once again perfectly sang the never gets old song by Iwan Fals and Rafika Duri, Kemesraan, which blended perfectly with his entire concert.

Overall the concert was really enjoyable without any concert and post concert drama which usually happen in other ones, and that honor we can fully give to Eru’s fans who enjoyed the entire event neatly even with the heavy rain that came. Eru has been showing his love to Indonesia often and this full-of-surprises concert could be seen as another delightful gift for his fans here, as well as another the audiences that attended the concert. May we get another fun concert next time!
