2015 Korea Indonesia Film Festival Opening Night
The 7th Korea Indonesia Film Festival has finally started! On October 28 evening, opening night of 2015 KIFF was held at CGV Blitz Megaplex Grand Indonesia which started with a red carpet followed by speeches and first film screening. Among the invited guests were Mr. Kim Tae Jin from Embassy of Republic of Korea, Mr. Ricky Pesik, Vice Head of Badan Ekonomi Kreatif Indonesia (Creative Economy Agency Indonesia), Mr. Bernard Ken, Director of CGV Blitz Megaplex, Mr. Kim Seok Gi, Director of Korean Cultural Center, Korean actress, Park Bo Young, and two Indonesian actors, Reza Rahadian and Rio Dewanto.
The night was officially opened with performance by Yerang (Ensemble Music) who delivered a composed Korean traditional music instrumentals versions of some movie soundtracks. Following the performance was speeches by the honorable guests who were all wishing the best for this 5 days long festival along with the hope of stronger relationship between the two countries’, especially in developing both film industries.
Special wishes came from Reza Rahadian who would like to see Indonesia as top destination country for international film industry which definitely will help the growth of Indonesia tourism, following the success of Korean tourism, and from Park Bo Young who proudly attend the festival and wishing this event will make the culture exchange between the two countries tighter.
After speeches finished, a positive news appeared along with the initiation of Indonesia Film Promotion Fund & Programs which will be supporting Indonesian film industry in the future with the hope of a better and more productive industry. Opening night was ended by first film screening of 2015 KIFF, playing Collective Invention, Korean movie about the phenomenon of fish man which also played by Park Bo Young.
The official start line has been opened for 2015 KIFF and may you enjoy the screenings of 16 Korean movies, 4 Indonesian movies, and 1 surprise one for the rest of the week!
