American music magazine Billboard has given its acknowledgement to 2NE1′s CL’s ‘The Baddest Female’ by including the song in its list of ‘Girl Group Solo Songs: The 10 Best (Non-Beyonce) Singles of the Modern Era’.
According to the magazine, which also produces the most recognized worldwide chart, CL’s ‘The Baddest Female’ is a melding hip-hop and dubstep for a stinging stunt anthem that breaks the language barrier.
‘The Baddest Female’ is the only Korean song in the list, and is ranked in the list together with Spice Girl’s Melanie C’s ‘I Turn to You (Hex Hector Remix)’, Destiny’s Child’s Kelly Rowland’s ‘Motivation’, and legendary TLC’s Lisa ‘Left Eye’ Lopes with her song ‘The Block Party’.
This is not the first time that CL has been acknowledged by Billboard, as her group 2NE1 managed to top some of the charts last year. Meanwhile, CL is expected to release her US debut album this spring under the management of Scooter Braun.
