Wishes Fulfilled in Manila: NCT WISH Stuns in Barong Tagalog and Celebrates White Day with Filo Czennies

The weekend was full of fulfilled wishes as NCT Wish returned to Manila for their first concert tour, Into the Wish: Our Wish in Manila. The celebration began with a lively press conference, showcasing just how big NCT Wish has become, and continued the next day with a high-energy concert filled with unforgettable performances, heartfelt moments, and memories fans will cherish forever.

Getting close with NCT Wish

NCT Wish back in the Philippines for their first ever concert tour “Into the Wish: Our Wish” presented by iMe Philippines but before the big night on March 14, they greeted Manila through a press conference with the media, content creators, and some of their lucky fans at Glorietta Activity Center last March 13.

Manila welcomed back the six members of the NCT subunit with heated cheers from Filipino Czennies (NCTzens). A year after their “Log In” Asia Tour in Manila, NCT Wish comes back with a plan to express their dreams and wishes through their music, performance, and interactions with the fans, opening up into bigger futures together.

The members showed their appreciation to their Filipino fans by sharing a few messages in Tagalog like “Na-miss ko kayo, sobra” and “Ang init! Tulad ng inyong pagmamahal.” NCT Wish also reminisced about their past visit here in Manila wherein now they shared that they are excited and expecting the same energy, more passion, from Czennies for the concert the next day. 

Building up on expectations, leader Sion, shared that aside from going on their concert tour, they are also earnestly preparing for their first full album to be released later this year.

Wish Granted and more

For the second time at New Frontier, NCT Wish proved they are truly the next big act to watch. The show opened with powerful performances of “Steady” and “Songbird,” marking Chapter 0 of the night. Chapter 1 began with Jaehee at the keyboard, playing with remarkable poise and elegance. The momentum continued with “Skate,” “On-and-On,” and “Reel-ationship,” each performance sending fans into even louder cheers.

The night grew even hotter with NCT Wish’s performance of “Designer.” Afterwards, fans were taken back to the moment NCT Wish was first introduced as NCT’s newest team, as the group performed “We Go!,” “Hands Up,” and “Wish.”

Known for their heartfelt connection with fans, the members created a touching moment during “1000.” While fans loudly sang along, NCT Wish held up handwritten messages in Filipino to express their love and gratitude. Sion shared “Mahal mahal mahal kita,” while Ryo wrote “Kayo ang inspirasyon ko.” Sakuya’s message read “Lagi ninyo akong pinapasaya,” and Riku expressed “Pinapainit ninyo ang puso ko.” Jaehee told fans, “Napaka-espesyal ninyo sa akin,” while Yushi wrote, “Mahal kita.”

As the party continued, NCT Wish showed their playful and charming side starting with “poppop.” The mood then shifted as the group revealed a slightly more mature side starting with “NASA.”

With the energy still running high, NCT Wish and Czennies weren’t ready for the night to end just yet. Their loud and passionate cheers soon brought NCT Wish back to the stage for the encore, opening with a sweet serenade of “Wichu” that left fans truly kilig and loving them even more.

As Into the Wish in Manila coincided with Korea’s White Day, the members prepared special gifts for fans, lollipops, as a token of their appreciation. Czennies returned the love with a large banner that read, “It’s White Day, Our Best Gift is Wish,” accompanied by deafening cheers and heartfelt sing-alongs all throughout the night that energized the members even more throughout the stage.

Before performing their final song, the group also prepared a special surprise to mark their second time in the Philippines. The members appeared in traditional Filipino attire, wearing Barong Tagalog, a moment that made fans swoon even further.

To close the night, NCT Wish performed “Our Adventure,” ending the concert with a heartfelt promise to return to Manila once again.

As the night comes to an end, both NCT Wish and their shining green stars, NCTzens, will surely carry this memory for a long time. After all, NCT Wish shared that their greatest wish is to continue walking alongside NCTzens through every moment, especially nights as special as this.
