KOREA 360 and 1MILLION Bring the Energy of K-Pop Dance to Jakarta Through “THE BEAT OF K-DANCE”

The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of the Republic of Korea, together with the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA), brought five members of 1MILLION Dance Studio — Lia Kim, Kooyoung Back, K Chan, Yechan, and Hyewon — to the event THE BEAT OF K-DANCE with 1MILLION at KOREA 360, Jakarta.

1MILLION Dance Studio is one of Korea’s most renowned dance studios, celebrated for its innovative choreography for numerous K-Pop idols, as well as being a creative hub for talented dancers from around the globe. The event successfully delivered world-class K-Pop dance energy, leaving fans with an unforgettable experience.

THE BEAT OF K-DANCE with 1MILLION featured a series of interactive programs that allowed fans to take part in the K-Pop dance experience firsthand. One of the highlights was the dance battle, where selected participants showcased their talent in front of three judges: Lia Kim and Kooyoung Back from 1MILLION, and Brandon De Angelo from Indonesia. Brandon’s presence as a professional Indonesian dancer made the competition even more special, adding a touch of cross-cultural collaboration. The Dance Battle segment really set the fire up as the audience shared the great energy to add the beat of every dance move. All talented contestants have various genres for the coreo so it was quite difficult for the three judges Lia Kim, Kooyoung Back, and Brandon Lee to choose the champion amongst all. It was wrapped, and ‘Blue Team’ was the champion for The Dance Battle!

Coming up next, the event also included an exclusive fansigning session, where selected fans were able to interact directly with the 1MILLION members, receive autographs, and capture special moments and warm interaction together.

The event concluded with a special performance by the five 1MILLION members, captivating fans with their legendary choreography. This performance marked the energetic and festive grand finale of the event.

The success of THE BEAT OF K-DANCE with 1MILLION reaffirms KOREA 360’s position as a centre of Korean cultural promotion in Indonesia and stands as a significant milestone in the cultural exchange mission between Korea and Indonesia. The enthusiasm of hundreds of fans in attendance highlights the strong cultural ties between the two nations and strengthens KOCCA Indonesia’s commitment to continually deliver high-quality, authentic Korean creative content to the Indonesian public.
