Baekhyun Successfully Stages “Reverie” Concert in Jakarta: “You Are the Most Comfortable Space for Me

South Korean singer Baekhyun successfully held his 2025 Baekhyun World Tour: Reverie concert in Jakarta at ICE BSD on Saturday, August 16, 2025. The event was organized by iMe Indonesia and marked another memorable occasion for his fans in Indonesia.

The concert commenced with high energy performances of “Young,” “Ghost,” and “Pineapple Slice,” setting an enthusiastic tone for the evening. Addressing the crowd, Baekhyun commented on the intense atmosphere, attributing it to the excitement and energy of his Jakarta fans.

“Are you all enjoying yourselves today? Isn’t it quite warm? But perhaps it’s the energy of Jakarta that makes it feel this way,” he remarked, engaging warmly with the audience. During the concert, Baekhyun fulfilled a promise he had made during his previous visits by performing on a larger stage.

He expressed gratitude for the continued support of his fans, known as Aeri (EXO-L), which he said helped make the expanded stage possible.“I was here last June, and again in February 2025 for the Overpass concert. Now we meet again through the Reverie tour. Because of Aeri’s passion, we managed to include an extended stage today even though I had only casually mentioned the idea before,” he explained.

Baekhyun went on to perform several of his newer tracks, including “Chocolate,” “Rendez-Vous,” and “Good Morning.” He encouraged the audience to sing along, noting how touched he was to hear their voices, even through his in ear monitors.“There were some new songs tonight ‘Chocolate,’ ‘Rendez-Vous,’ and ‘Good Morning.’ I wore my in ears during ‘Chocolate,’ but during ‘Good Morning,’ I could almost hear you singing. Let’s sing it together once more. Don’t be shy,” he encouraged.

Throughout the concert, Baekhyun maintained his signature playful rapport with fans. At one point, he humorously attempted to participate in a local chant, “eeaaa,” which led to a light-hearted exchange as he tried to learn its meaning and use from the Jakarta audience.He also received enthusiastic responses during favorite songs like “Betcha” and “Candy,” which featured loud and synchronized fanchants from the crowd.“It’s been a long time since I’ve felt this level of energy. The expressions on your faces seemed to say, ‘This is what we’ve been waiting for,’” he said, visibly moved by the reaction.“Jakarta Aeri, did you enjoy spending time with me? I feel like we’ve all missed each other. I’ve felt the same, especially since we usually only meet at concerts,” he added.

In a particularly endearing moment, Baekhyun responded to fans calling him *kiyowo* (cute) by dancing to the TikTok trend *Para Pam – Pororo the Little Penguin*, further delighting the audience.As the concert neared its end, he performed “No Problem” and “Garden in the Air,” with the latter accompanied by a coordinated lightstick display led by Baekhyun himself.“You’re incredibly good at this. This is a world tour, and yet you’re the best at it. That means you’ve really been listening to my music, and that makes me genuinely happy,” he said before performing “Paranoia”.

During the encore, Baekhyun took a moment to speak candidly to his Jakarta fans, expressing deep gratitude and emotional vulnerability. He admitted to having experienced personal difficulties recently but said that the presence of his fans gave him renewed strength and motivation.“There’s been a lot on my mind lately. But meeting Eri in Jakarta has given me a great deal of energy. Even though we haven’t seen each other for a while, and I released two albums in the meantime, it feels like you’ve been with me all along, enjoying every song,” he shared.

He went on to reflect on how performing makes him feel more at peace than being at home.“When I am on stage with all of you, I feel most at ease. Sometimes I feel more comfortable here than when I am resting at home,” Baekhyun said.

“You are my safe space. You give me so much love. I promise to return with more performances and new content. I love you,” he concluded.The evening closed with a heartfelt performance of “Amusement Park.” Before leaving the stage, Baekhyun repeatedly expressed his affection and appreciation for his fans.“I love you. Thank you. Until we meet again, please eat well and rest. I will miss you,” he said. “Let’s meet again and create even more joyful memories. Thank you. I love you.

”The concert concluded with a special encore of “Black Dream,” leaving fans with lasting memories of an emotional and unforgettable night.
