JUNNY Lights Up Melbourne on a Cold Sunday Night

The final Australia stop in the 2025 JUNNY Tour in Oceania.

Despite the cold waves we’ve been having, JUNNY for sure kept the temperature up in Max Watts last Sunday night.

The night started off with a DJ set, raising the energy in the crowd, not saying that people weren’t already excited for JUNNY to come on stage.

The cheers were deafening when JUNNY finally went on stage to start off with his first song of the night POV as the crowd sang along. He then continued with Here We Go Again and For the Weekend.

JUNNY introduced himself and seemed very keen to finish off his Australian leg of the tour, before heading to New Zealand, with a bang. With Melbourne being the last stop in Australia, there was a lot of excitement from the fans and JUNNY himself. This was welcomed with cheers from the crowd, creating an atmosphere that suits the title of a final stop.

He continued to sing hits upon hits which include but is not limited to songs he had other people collaborated on. Color Me with Chungha and Get Ya! with pH-1 were some of the songs that JUNNY gave a specific shoutout to, which was understandable as the crowd went wild during those songs. Another crowd favourite was definitely MOVIE with the song being one of his earlier releases with the fans singing along to the song.

It definitely won’t be a JUNNY concert without singing Happy Birthday and with multiple fans having birthdays on that day, the entire venue sang for them. Not forgetting our cultural “hip hip hooray” which seemed to fall short mid-concert but then was brought back towards the end of the concert.

JUNNY then brought the mood down with a touch more romance in the air as the crowd sang along to By My Side. As the vibe went towards a more relaxed style with songs that are less energetic and more romantic, we were able to see JUNNY becoming more immersed in the songs he was performing. He then mentioned how he was just a boy from Canada who moved to Korea in order to pursue a singing career. But he then experienced hardships and relationships as he grew older, prompting him to write songs. This then segwayed to JUNNY promoting his new album which was greeted with cheers.

He proceeded to continue his set as the night progressed with songs including Optimist and yet another song that the fans were waiting all night for, INVITATION. After a couple more songs, JUNNY then invited the audience to turn on their phone flashlights and sing along to one of his final songs for the night, figure8. It was definitely a sight you don’t want to miss. The lights from the crowd’s phones, paired with JUNNY’s beautiful voice was definitely a sight to behold.

The missed timing with the “hip hip hooray” was also cleared up with JUNNY confirming that it was the first time for him to hear that and of course, it wouldn’t be an Australian show without the performer chanting “AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE”.

After JUNNY left the stage for the night, he went back on stage once again for an encore performance. The energy in the venue multiplied tenfold when he started singing once again with the crowd never getting tired of him. JUNNY sang multiple songs which included but was not limited to RUSH and an encore performance of INVITATION. With the final song, that indeed marked the end to the Australian leg of the 2025 JUNNY TOUR.

The JUNNY Tour (now called null) will be continuing onward to Europe with a new album release scheduled before he embarks on the journey to Europe.
