Jung Hae In’s Jakarta Fan Meeting: Cooking Klepon with Love, Heartfelt Fan Service, and Time Capsule
Global sensation and K-drama heartthrob Jung Hae In successfully held his second fan meeting in Indonesia on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at the Balai Kartini Exhibition & Convention Center.
The fans left the event with joyful smiles and sparkling eyes, and here’s why.
Jung Hae In kicked off his “Our Time” fan meeting with a heartfelt performance of “The Truth”, the OST from his recent hit rom-com drama “Love Next Door“. His soft and melodious voice serenaded fans, creating a magical atmosphere. Dressed in an all-black outfit, the ‘mom’s friend’s son’ greeted his Indonesian Haeiness (Jung Hae In fandom name) warmly, expressing how much he had missed his fans.

To connect more deeply with fans, Jung Hae In held a Q&A session where he read fans’ concerns and provided solutions. When a fan asked if he had eaten, he shared his gratitude for the delicious meals prepared by fans. Showing his thoughtfulness, Jung Hae In personally wrote answers to each question and added his autograph. The actor selected five questions and invited the fans who submitted them to join him on stage, where he delivered his messages and took selcas with them.
Jung Hae In also showcased props from “Love Next Door”, including Choi Seunghyo’s school uniform, an Atelier tag, and a time capsule. Reflecting on his role as a high school student in the drama, he remarked, “This might be the last drama where I wear a school uniform,” to which fans insisted he still looks youthful and perfect for such roles.
In the “Our Romance” segment, Jung Hae In charmed fans with Indonesian pick-up lines. One of the most memorable was, “Kopi aja pahit, tapi kenapa kamu manis banget?” (t/n: “Coffee tastes bitter, but why are you so sweet?”). He also gifted sentimental items, including his frequently worn hat, a signed keyring from his movie “Veteran“, and a towel from “Love Next Door”. Lucky fans who received these gifts also had the chance to take selfies with him on stage. He melted fans’ hearts by reminding them to bring their phones to the stage for photos. The sweetness didn’t stop there, Jung Hae In once again serenaded his fans with a cover of “Until I Found You”.
In the “Our Playtime” segment, Jung Hae In showed off his cooking skills by learning to make the traditional Indonesian dessert, Klepon, and playing traditional games. He poured his heart into making five Klepon and successfully made the dessert by following fans’ instructions. While waiting for the Klepon to be boiled, Jung Hae In completed the challenge of playing Bekel (a ball-bouncing game) in 30 seconds.

When the Klepon was ready, he selected five lucky fans. The venue then filled with crowd’s loud screamed as Jung Hae In personally fed the dessert to each fan, even covering them to ensure his fans felt comfortable. After handing out his handmade Klepon, he humorously commented, “I should have made six instead of five!” He explained that initially, he was supposed to make three Klepon—two for the fans and one for himself—but during the show, he insisted on making five and gave them all away. “It’s okay, I’ll buy some at the market,” he joked, sparking laughter.
Each segment of the fan meeting featured a unique, personal gift from the actor. Jung Hae In invited lucky fans from all sections to join him on stage, where he personally handed over the gifts and took selfies in various poses requested by the fans. Apart from showering his fans with overflowing fan service, the actor amazed everyone with his thoughtfulness, not only towards his fans but also the staff and MC on stage.
In the “Our Memories” segment, Jung Hae In created a time capsule with fans by recording a special video to be opened next year. Holding a camera, he guided fans to make a wave, form heart poses, and say “Saranghae” (I love you). This time capsule will become a cherished memory for both the actor and his fans.
As a surprise, fans presented a video project before taking a group photo with him. The audience then harmoniously sang “The Truth”, which deeply moved the actor. In response, he asked fans to sing the song once more with him before delivering his closing ment.
Jung Hae In concluded the fan meeting with a heartfelt message:
“As for my Indonesian Haeiness, this is our second meeting after last year’s fan meeting. You have given me so much love, and I often think about how I can return the love you’ve given me. Thanks to you, I laughed a lot today. After this fan meeting, I will return to Korea, and we may not see each other for a while. But I will always remember your energy and your warm gaze. When you leave the venue later, I will be outside to see you off. You can film me if you want, but I hope we can make eye contact instead.”

He wrapped up the night with a stunning performance of “Start”, leaving fans with cherished memories. Along with Haeiness, KoreanUpdates thoroughly enjoyed the fan meeting and were impressed by how thoughtful Jung Hae In is.
We thank Brauss Live for the invitation, and we eagerly anticipate Jung Hae In’s next project!
