The Legend Returns: 2NE1 Successfully Holds 15th Anniversary Concert in Jakarta

The legendary girl group of K-pop’s 2nd Gen, 2NE1, made a triumphant return to Jakarta, hosting a reunion concert titled ‘2024-25 2NE1 ASIA TOUR [WELCOME BACK] IN JAKARTA’ at Ancol Beach City on Friday, November 22, 2024. This concert was held to celebrate their 15th debut anniversary and as a heartfelt gift to their fans, known as Blackjack, who have continued to show unwavering support over the years.

The Jakarta leg of 2NE1’s tour spanned two days. On the day one, enthusiastic fans brought the ambience getting real, dressed predominantly in black and fuchsia pink outfits, expressed their loyalty and excitement. CL, BOM, DARA & MINZY opened the show with their iconic hits Fire, Clap Your Hands, and Can’t Nobody, which were met with thunderous cheers from the audience.

The four members greeted their Indonesian fans warmly and invited them to join in on their signature chant. “2NE1” the members shouted. “Nolzza!” the crowd roared back, filling the venue with excitement. They continued their performance with fan-favorites such as Do You Love Me, Falling in Love, and I Don’t Care.

The atmosphere hit a fever pitch when CL performed her solo tracks, The Baddest Female and MTBD. Her stage presence was amplified by stunning laser light displays and captivating choreography. The other members then followed CL, elevate the stage with a goddess-like appearance. Together they performed emotional ballads including Missing You, It Hurts, If I Were You, and Lonely.

Following the heartfelt segment, 2NE1 shifted the mood with their playful tracks I Love You, Ugly, and Gotta Be You. The group delighted fans further by speaking a few phrases in Indonesian:

“Jakarta mantap (Jakarta is awesome),” DARA exclaimed.

“Seru nggak? (Are you having fun?)” MINZY asked.

“Mana suaranya? (Let me hear you!)” CL shouted.

“Gimana nih? (How is it?)” BOM chimed in.

Finished their interaction with fans, 2NE1 continued their performance with hits like Come Back Home, I Am the Best, and Go Away. Almost two hours into the concert, the group concluded their encore with performances of Happy, I Miss You, and a mashup of their iconic songs Crush, I Don’t Care, Ugly, Go Away, and Can’t Nobody.

Returning to Jakarta after a decade, 2NE1 expressed immense joy and gratitude, stating that their reunion with their loyal fans had been deeply fulfilling. The love and longing of Blackjack were finally rewarded with an unforgettable night.
