The two-day extravaganza has concluded in style! “SUMMER SONIC BANGKOK,” the world-class festival held in Thailand for the first time, was organized by “BANGKOK CONNECT” in collaboration with official partners such as Government Saving Bank, Krungthai Bank, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Dewar’s Club, -196, King Power, and TCEB. The event transformed IMPACT Challenger Hall in Muang Thong Thani into a full-blown Experience Hall, where fans enjoyed a multitude of activities spread throughout every area over the course of the two full days.

Fans from Thailand and around the world flocked to the event to support their favorite artists. The Mega Stage kicked off with a dynamic performance by Japan’s seven-member group, ‘PSYCHIC FEVER,’ who launched the event with their track ‘Up and Down.’ They followed up with popular hits such as ‘Just Like Dat’ and ‘Temperature,’ thrilling the audience throughout the show. Next up was Thai band “GETSUNOVA,” who kept the energy high with a packed setlist of popular songs. They opened with their new track, “เลิกตั้งแต่เริ่ม” (“Lerk Tang Tae Roem”), debuting it for the first time here, and followed with hits like “คนไม่จำเป็น” (“Kon Mai Jam Pen”) and “ไกลแค่ไหน คือ ใกล้” (“Glai Kae Nai Kue Glai”), with the crowd singing along to every word. The excitement continued with the famous boy band “TRAVIS JAPAN,” who delivered a lively performance, singing and dancing to songs like “JUST DANCE!” and “T.G.I. Friday Night,” captivating both Thai and international fans. Indie folk sensation “PHUM VIPHURIT” brought his internationally acclaimed talent to the stage, mesmerizing the audience with his exceptional vocals and guitar skills through hit songs like “Hello, Anxiety” and “Lover Boy.” The rock vibes intensified with the first-ever performance in Thailand by the indie rock band from the UK, “LOVEJOY,” who set the stage ablaze with tracks like “Call Me What You Like” and “I’ll Look Good When I’m Sober. 

Next up was the rising K-POP boy group ‘BOYNEXTDOOR,’ who appeared in bright-toned outfit and charmed fans with their energetic performance. They treated the audience to a special rendition of their songs ‘One and Only’ and ‘But Sometimes,’ reimagined in a rock version for this event. Following them was ‘BRIGHT,’ a renowned singer and actor from Thailand who recently performed at SUMMER SONIC in Japan. He captivated both Thai and international fans who came out in full force to support him. The highlight of his performance was the debut of his latest single, ‘Long Shower,’ created in collaboration with a world-famous record label. Finally, the stage heated up with South Korean rapper ‘ZICO,’ who brought intense energy with his rap, singing, dancing, and entertaining skills. He performed popular tracks like ‘Any’ and ‘SPOT!’ leaving fans exhilarated and eager for more.

The excitement continued without pause with Thailand’s number one rock band, “BODYSLAM,” who kicked off their set with the energetic song “ดัม-มะ-ชา-ติ” (“Dum-Ma-Cha-Ti”) and delivered a powerful lineup of hits including “เรือเล็กควรออกจากฝั่ง” (“Ruer Lek Khuan Ok Chak Fang”), “แสงสุดท้าย” (“Saeng Sud Tai”), and concluded with “ยาพิษ” (“Ya Phit”). The biggest surprise of the event was the special appearance by the three-member band “BABYMETAL,” who joined “BODYSLAM” on stage for an electrifying performance of “Gimme Chocolate!!” and “PA PA YA!!” featuring renowned Thai rapper “F.HERO”. Their collaboration on “LEAVE IT ALL BEHIND” created an intense, fiery atmosphere that had fans headbanging, dancing, and moshing to their rock rhythms, leaving a lasting impression with the outstanding energy of the performance.

The first day concluded with a spectacular headliner from “ONEREPUBLIC,” a favorite among Thai fans. They delivered a world-class show, performing nearly all of their hit songs including “Secret,” “Counting Stars,” “Apologize,” “Stop and Stare,” and “I Ain’t Worried.” The standout moment was lead singer Ryan Tedder’s impressive medley of famous tracks he has both written and produced, such as Beyonce’s “Halo,” Maroon 5’s “Maps,” and the latest hit “Rockstar” by Lisa. The fun didn’t end there! On the second day, the action heated up the hall from the start with “SARUKANI,” the world champion beatboxer from Japan. This was followed by Korean artist “TOMIKITA” (feat. HANJELLA), who brought a rock and roll vibe to the stage. The mood then shifted with “VIOLETTE WAUTIER,” the only Thai singer of the night, debuting her latest single “FAVOURITE MISTAKE” with a striking, sexy look. Next up was “HENRY MOODIE,” a heartthrob adored by fans of all ages in Thailand, who performed new tracks “The Old Me” and “Good Old Day” live for the first time in Thailand, along with his hit “drunk text,” engaging the crowd in sing-alongs.

Next, the stage was set for “NOTHING BUT THIEVES,” who delivered a high-energy performance with hits like “Is Everybody Going Crazy” and “If I Got High.” The crowd erupted again as “AURORA” appeared on stage, captivating the audience with her beautiful voice and mesmerizing performance, complete with stunning visual art that transported viewers into her world. She also performed her hit “Runaway.” Following this, “LAUFEY,” a modern jazz singer with her trusty guitar, showcased her talent with hits such as “From The Start” and “Falling Behind,” and shifted the mood with her emotive performance of “Promise,” blending her vocals with piano to enchant the audience. The evening continued with British alternative rock legends “SUEDE,” who brought their iconic style and energetic performance to the stage, interacting closely with fans and singing classic hits like “Trash,” “Everything Will Flow,” “She’s In Fashion,” and concluded with “Beautiful Ones.”

Finally, the moment everyone had been waiting for arrived: the highlight of the event with the J-POP duo “YOASOBI.” They took the stage with an extravagant laser visual display that made it feel like stepping into an anime world. They opened with the song “Yoru Ni Kakeru” and performed “TABUN” against a backdrop of fire, delivering a high-energy performance. “Ikura” brought full vocal power throughout the show, while “Ayase” showcased his musical skills, creating an unforgettable experience for fans and otaku alike. This performance was certainly one of the best of the event. The festival concluded with a memorable show by acclaimed singer-songwriter “LAUV,” who delivered a solo performance packed with hit songs like “Paris In The Rain,” “I’m So Tired,” “Tattoos Together,” and “Who.” He closed with an encore of the heartfelt song “I Like Me Better,” spreading love, joy, and a lasting impression to the audience.

The Rising Stage also offered an impressive lineup. Over the two days, Thai artists performed in rotation, including “PAIIINNTT”, “HED”, “CLOCKWORK MOTIONLESS”, “THE WHITE HAIR CUT”, “SHERRY”, “NEW COUNTRY”, “EARTHLOLLIPOP”, “AUN JESSADA”, “JUST IMPROVIZE”, “PURPLECAT”, “WIZZLE / D-NA”, “JOM JAGER”, “LEMONY / KALIPSE” and many others. They delivered performances that showcased Thai talent and provided a delightful, authentic experience.
