“CHUANG ASIA THAILAND” Winners Debut as Gen1es

The curtain comes down spectacularly for global mega project and idol survival show “CHUANG ASIA THAILAND”, a platform for trainees from around the world to compete and showcase their talents in order to debut as Thailand’s first international girl group. For three months since February, the show has created a sensation in the global entertainment landscape, spawning topics of online conversations and positive feedbacks.

Most recently, the show has reached its final stage with the nine members QIAO YI YU, RUAN, PAILIU, YEAN, ELYN, WANG KE, XUEYAO, DIDI and EMMA who are now set for their debut as a full-fledged international girl group called ‘Gen1es’ (read: Ge – Nies). The final round also sees special highlights from Thai special guests Kratae and Milli as well as guest mentors Liu Yu, Mika and Nine from INTO1 debuted group from CHUANG 2021. Also wrapping the season are special finale performances from mentors Jeff Satur and Nene as well as shows from 18 finalist trainees, with mentor Jackson Wang, Mike Angelo and TEN sharing the stage to ensure happiness for viewers all through the show.

Representing the 9 winners from CHUANG ASIA THAILAND, QIAO YI YU, a trainee who got the top votes of 80 millions, revealed her feelings after her debut as the center of ‘Gen1es’ by saying,“I feel extremely delighted and grateful for all the fans of CHUANG ASIA, all the crew members, WeTV and the five mentors who give inspirations and share their experiences. From now, my job is to do my best to give happiness to my fan club who always supports me and recognizes our girl group.”

5 mentors passing the torch to trainees as a guiding light to success. GOT7 Jackson Wang, the Lead Mentor and Co-producer of CHUANG ASIA, said, “I am greatly delighted to have served as the lead mentor and co-produced the first season of CHUANG ASIA in Thailand. Our intentions were to lend opportunities and support aspiring talents to pursue their dreams. Whether their performances were good or bad is not as important as how they embraced and kept alive their opportunities during the past three to four months when all of them must have had memorable times and experiences, regardless of success or failure. However, their performances during this show are never the ultimate conclusion of their true potentials. I hope all of them gained plenty of experiences, thoughts, and inspirations, and remember these meaningful moments and experiences. I believe very much that all these can be the first step of their international success — experiences that will be really helpful for self-development into the next version of themselves.”

Mentor and all-rounder idol Mike Angelo said, “Being a mentor in the show spells a lot of opportunities for me. I have got to share my experiences that are beneficial to the trainees. Importantly, I have got to witness the potential and dedication from all the 9 winners whose improvement is noticeable every week. They are ready and open to learn new things from mentors. They are all talented and outstanding in their own ways. I’m happy and proud of the 9 winners who will debut as rising artists in the future.”

Thai vocal mentor who goes international and participates in Chinese reality shows while also bagging home various awards including Best Artists of the Year 2024, Jeff Satur said, “I feel extremely happy to be part of the team that drives the 9 trainees to pursue their dreams to debut as Thailand’s first international girl group. During the times that I work with them, I see their determination, energy and improvement. I am confident that they have a bright future ahead of them and am looking forward to seeing their music and activities.”

WayV TEN, Thai mentor who is recognized as a global K-pop idol, said with a bright smile, “Congratulations to the 9 winners who reach their dreams and become the show’s first girl group. As a mentor and a senior in the entertainment industry, I wish them all the best. Above all, a heartwarming message from me – an artist needs to always be humble, healthy and determined. Last but not least, the show’s only female mentor Nene from CHUANG 2020, said “During the times I’ve got to work with the trainees, I can say they are all very talented, all-rounded and good at not just singing but also dancing. They are charming and outstanding in their own ways. As a big sister from the same competition stage, I feel so proud of them. I wish them all success and I will always catch up with their works.”
