Let’s Fall Deeply to Young K Sweet Personalities Through Young K Solo Concert in Jakarta

October 28, 2023 marked a memorable experience for My Day (fans of Day6) Indonesia as one of Day6 members, Young K, came back to Indonesia after 4 years holding their latest concert. In 4 years, Young K has passed many milestones as a musician, including producing masterpieces which fans are looking forward to hearing live at his concerts. Finally, after the long wait, MecimaPro who promoted this show brought Young K with a concert entitled Young K Solo Concert <Letters with Notes> in Jakarta which was held at The Kasablanka Hall, Jakarta.

Starting with the soundcheck session, which mostly did it with such a light stamina to save for the concert session but that was not what Young K showed us. Bringing a song entitled “babo” from his latest new album “Letters with Notes” Young K brought out his voice to the maximum. Not only that, Young K also interacted a lot with fans, such as greeting them and thanking them for coming to his solo concert this time. During the soundcheck session, My Day also sang loudly which Young K realized this so he praised the fans’ voices which actually exceeded his stamina at that time. 

“All of your voices are very beautiful. I didn’t expect this, but it’s really beautiful,” praised Young K. My Day’s solidarity at that time also gave him an idea for what to do at the concert later, leaving My Day with a curiosity.

The concert session began. At this concert, Young K sang approximately 25 songs including original songs from his albums, Day6 song, collaboration songs with other musicians, as well as cover songs from various musicians. The opening song of this concert was “waited” where Young K suddenly appeared in the middle of the stage under the spotlight of the stage lights complete with his black jacket outfit. His stage presence, stamina that matches the tempo of the song, a little dance to ignite My Day‘s enthusiasm, and his stable voice in the middle of his stage action are things that My Day will always remember. In between several songs, Young K didn’t forget to interact with the fans in full English and almost without a translator. One adorable thing about Young K was when he openly asked the translator to ask for several Indonesian terms to make it closer to My Day Indonesia by saying, “Songsaengnim, what is the Indonesian of I love you?” How sweet!

After singing “Best Song” and “Time of Our Life“, Young K interacted with fans again. According to him, the concert this time will go very well, “That made me think today is gonna be crazy. Today is gonna be wild. Today is gonna be legendary.” 

Feeling very honored to hold his concert here, Young K lit up the mood, “Are you guys ready for today? Are you guys ready for Young K? Are you guys ready for Brian? Are you guys ready for My Day?”

Not only entertaining with music, occasionally Young K also inserts touching and supportive words for My Day to not feel alone because Young K will always be there for My Day. He also added that when Young K cannot be present in the midst of My Day‘s sadness then he hopes that My Day will be surrounded by family and friends who are kind and ready to support them.

When performing “goodnight, dear” he sang in Indonesian “Selamat tidur sayangku…” (Have a goodnight, my dear…) but with a little twist he said don’t fall asleep immediately as his show is still going on. Almost at the end of the show, Young K approached the audience and went around every corner of the category to greet all the My Days that day.

The next sweet moment was when Young K watched the fan project video that had been prepared by My Day Indonesia, he automatically smiled when he heard My Day‘s voice, laughed at the creativity and cuteness of My Day‘s behavior, and the speechless looks of him after seeing pure love from his fans. Lots of smiles, sweet words, warm moments of interaction between him and fans, as well as the combination of Young K‘s voice and My Day‘s voices were the highlights of that night.
