AREA 52 in Bangkok: Explosive Performances, Sweet Reunion, and Heartwarming Idol-Fans Bond
Thai-born K-pop idol BamBam of GOT7 successfully held a solo concert “2023-2024 BamBam THE 1ST WORLD TOUR [AREA 52] in BANGKOK” on 28-29 October 2023 at Thunderdome Stadium. The concert set a new record by becoming the first Korea male soloist who sold out the two days concert at an outdoor stadium.

BamBam started to set his solo concert on fire with “Wheels Up” and “Pandora” as the opening performance. The sea of green from ‘Ahgabong’ (lightstick) and loud screams from IGOT7 (GOT7’s fan club name) filled the stadium. Then, the singer pulled off his charisma through “Sour & Sweet”, “Ride or Die”, “Let’s Dance”, and “Who Are You” performances.

After the performances, BamBam greeted everyone by walking to every corner of the stage and inviting fans to have fun together to the fullest. As BamBam is extremely excited for the concert, the idol revealed that he didn’t expect the green sea would be that beautiful in the stadium.
Receiving the full energy from the fans, the owner of AREA 52 did not wait any longer to continue with another 3 songs “Wings”, “Take It Easy”, “GHOST” which wowed the audience. BamBam splashes hotness with a special performance “FIRE BOY”, a Thai song by PP Krit.

The loud screams arose as the special guest and fellow member Mark Tuan came on stage with the songs “Everyone Else Fades”, “Your World” and show off his newest song “Fallin’” on stage for Thai Ahgase for the first time. The concert must be a delight for Thai Ahgase as they witnessed the reunion of their fav idols on the stage and how both of them sang and danced to “TIPPY TOE” together for the first time, followed with GOT7 hit songs “NANANA” and “Lullaby”.
At the next corner of the concert, selected lucky fans were able to take a close-up 1:1 photo with their beloved idol, followed by a show where fans requested BamBam to perform “Air” and “Subliminal”. The concert ended with BamBam solo debut song “riBBon”.
Thai Ahgase prepared a surprise project to express their love to BamBam with the light boxes saying “WE 52 ❤️ BAM” which BamBam saw and was very happy to see the project.

“I thank everyone who came to be a part of the big day. Thank you to everyone who made today more than my dreams. This concert is not for me. But it’s a concert where I want to repay everyone for the past 10 years. I want everyone to be happy. Thank you for always loving and supporting me and GOT7. This is my hometown and I really love everyone,” said BamBam.
The concert was said to be over, but IGOT7 refused and shouted “BamBam! BamBam!” loudly. The fans’ wishes were fulfilled as BamBam came back to the stage and performed the hottest Thai single “Pee Mai Lor Luang” and “Do You”, the fans in the stadium sang along to the whole song.
Time passed and it was really close to the end, but there’s no sign that the fans’ energy is fading. In order to enjoy the show to the fullest, BamBam invited Mark Tuan to join an heated the stage by performing GOT7 national anthem “Hard Carry” and the group’s debut song “Girls Girls Girls”.
The concert officially ended with BamBam’s debut song “riBBon”. The singer and the fans danced together throughout the song until the time was over and had to say goodbye. BamBam and IGOT7 were in tears with gratitude and joy.
