First Thoughts of Indonesia: THE BOYZ Version

THE BOYZ has officially started their short stop in Jakarta, Indonesia with special VLIVE event yesterday with 50 lucky fanship members. The event was held one day before their very first fan-con in Indonesia as part of their Asia tour “THE CASTLE”. Before the special broadcast began, KoreanUpdates got the chance to meet New, Kevin, Sangyeon, Ju Haknyeon, Sunwoo, Younghoon, Hyunjae, Juyeon, Jacob, Hwall, Q, and Eric through a short press session.

THE BOYZ expressed their happiness to finally got the chance to visit Indonesia. The group fully realized how there are a lot of Indonesian fans who like to leave comments on their VLIVE broadcast, so it makes their heart flutters to think about meeting their fans here. When asked about what comes first when they think about Indonesia, Younghoon’s answer was actually quite surprising because the one that attracted him the most while searching about Indonesia was how big the country is. Named as the 4th most populated country in the world, Younghoon was amazed by the number of Indonesians. New, on the other hand, said how he is excited to make good memories with Indonesian fans after felt so welcomed on their arrival.

As a platform to communicate with their fans, New admitted that he loves using VLIVE because all 12 members can show to their fans a lot of different activities, especially because it’s in real-time. Doesn’t matter if it’s a radio or random personal broadcast, Sangyeon said the members love their time spent using VLIVE to connect with The Bs, their fans.

After talking about their activities on VLIVE, Sangyeon shared his excitement to swim here. And as a lot of them are popular for their good taste, he also said how he want to try as many Indonesian foods as he could. Aside from our foods, Indonesia has also been known as home to many beautiful places, which then Jacob confirmed by saying how beautiful Lombok is on pictures and he would like to go there with the members. While Hwall told us that he’d love to try things related to Indonesian culture and it would be great to meet as many Indonesian fans as they can throughout their visit.

Just as we got to the last question, Hwall revealed after doing a lot of covers, THE BOYZ would like to try covering BTS’ songs in the future, inspired by their tremendous global popularity and great performances. If they were to choose one song from BTS, Hwall said that “Fake Love” will be great as THE BOYZ can show to people how they can excel the killing choreography.
