Song Joong Ki is scheduled to film ‘The Descendants of the Sun’ a week after his military discharge on May 26

Only a month left until actor Song Joong Ki ends his military service!

It was revealed that Song Joong Ki will be discharged from the military service on May 26, but to the irony, he won’t be getting rid off wearing the military uniform just yet, since he is already scheduled to film a drama a week after his discharge. Song Joong Ki will be playing in a drama titled ‘The Descendants of the Sun’ (태양의 후예), where plays as a leader of the Special Forces.

Although the drama is scheduled for October on KBS, the filming will start early since they have to shoot it in several overseas locations. There is much anticipation for this upcoming drama, not only because it will be Song Joong Ki’s first work after two years, but also because Song Hye Kyo will be starring as well.
