BoA Reported Illegally Developing on Restricted Area in Namyangju

BoA has been known brought 4600m2 land in Namyangju on February 2004  and August 2009 with her father. They built 66m2 management office on the land and changing the 99m2 farming storage into houses which BoA’s father had been living in.

However, the city of Namyangju reported that most of the land has been developed illegally. The land is part of Korea’s Green Belt, the land is protected under strict laws. The building on the Green Belt only can be used to store agricultural tools or used temporarily, not for living in a years just as BoA’s father did, living there for 7-8 years and it’s restricted for building.

BoA’s father accused for connecting the management office and storage by a rain shelter installation. He also using both for his residence which is not allowed. He also broke the law by changing the forest area and building a large pavilion.

Due to this report, BoA may be facing 50 million KRW (48,000 USD) fines.
