Korean 35th Worker’s Song Festival

On Saturday, 15 February 2014, a song festival was held on Ice Palace hall, Lotte Shopping Avenue, Jakarta. The event entitled 근로자 가요제 (Read: geulloja gayoje, English: Worker's Song Festival) is the 35th one to run every year and it has been the 2nd time being held in Indonesia.

The song festival is a part of Worker’s Culture and Arts Festival and is a preliminary stage for the bigger stage in Korea, the final will be on 01 May, the Worker’s Day (Labour’s Day), and will be broadcasted by Korean Broadcasting System (KBS).

4 judges have personally come and watched the performance of all the 67 participants from Indonesia, either they are Indonesian workers in Korean companies or Koreans working in Indonesia. The participants’ performances were really good! From solo to group, with remixed music to singing without background music, they went all out for this festival; we wish the best luck for them ^^
