As many of you know, SM Entertainment holds many of the top Korean idol artists like Girls’ Generation, TVXQ, SHINee, and more, but now EXOis the baby group of the family.

EXO is a twelve boy group under SM Entertainment.  They come from a new planet beyond the universe known as EXOPLANET. The group is divided into EXO-K and EXO-M, in which EXO-K promotes in Korea and EXO-M promotes in China. They promote with the same songs, at the same time and with different languages (Korean and Chinese).

Before EXO’s official debut, each of the members were introduced in teaser videos and by photos. Without letting anyone know who was part of what group (EXO-K & EXO-M), the first member to be revealed was EXO-K’s Kai on December 23th, 2011. That day marked the 100 day period of promotions they did before their debut.

On March 9^th the second prologue song ‘History’ was revealed.

Around March EXO-K became the models for Calvin Klein and they appeared in High Cut Magazine.

Finally after 23 teasers and two prologue songs, EXO-K and EXO-M had their first showcase in Korea on March 31st. The other showcase in China was held on April 1st.

Korean Showcase

On April 8^th the single ‘MAMA’ + Music Video were released.

Their 1^st mini-album ‘MAMA’ was released on April 9^th.

Since then EXO has been making ‘History’ with their music, and getting known across the globe with their music. Even as rookies EXO-K are the models for the drink Sunny 10, Calvin Clein, The Face Shop, IVY CLUB and recently for Samsung’s ATIV Smart PC ‘Create Your Smart Style’.
