Five wonderful girls, Wonder Girls, is back to Jakarta! This time they’re back for their first solo concert in Jakarta. Wonder Girls: Wonder World Tour in Jakarta 2012! Sunye, Yenny, Yubin, Sohee, and Lim takes the stage in Tennis Indoor Senayan, Jakarta for 2 hours with performing around 20 songs.
Wonder Girls: Wonder World Tour in Jakarta started with Wonder Girls’ latest single, ‘Like This’. Three dance songs perform in one row, after ‘Like This’, Wonder Girls bring ‘Nu Shoes’ and ‘DJ is Mine’. After that they take a break for a while with introducing session. The girls not talked in Korea, but they talked in English and also bahasa, like ‘Apa kabar’ and Yubin shouting ‘Aku kangen kalian’ which bring cheering from audiences.
Wonder Girls also bring solo stage, Yenny bring ‘Hello to Myself’ for her solo stage. After Yenny showing her powerful and wonderful vocal skill, then Yubin take the stage with performing ‘So Hot’. Not in original version, Wonder Girls brings ‘So Hot’ and ’2 Different Tears’ into a different level with performing rock version of both songs. The girls dressed in black, have guitar and the result is a great performance for both songs! One of best stage from the concert.
Sunye also take the stage with her solo performance where she covering ‘Touch’, a song from Wonder Girls’ label-mate, miss A. Sunye performing with keyboard in the beginning of the song. After ballad Sunye, hip hop Lim takes the stage with ‘Act Cool’. In Lim’s solo stage, some artists from JYP Entertainment, like JJ Project, San E, 2PM’s Nickhun, and even J.Y.Park feature in VCR before Lim’s performance.
The most memorable moment during concert is when Wonder Girls suddenly come up with wearing one of Indonesia’s traditional outfit, kebaya. They performing ‘Be My Baby’ in kebaya. They also threw some candies from basket that each member have to audiences. The cheering become more louder.
After have a wow performance with their kebaya, the party is not over yet. Wonder Girls is back with club feeling with performing ‘Girls Night Out’. They also have a performance from their latest single in USA, ‘Like Money’. The show then continue with one of their hit single, ‘Tell Me’. The girls also asked audiences to dance and sing with them.
Wonder Girls tease audiences like the show already over with waving and said thank you. Audiences then shouting ‘we want more’ and ‘encore’. Then Wonder Girls back to stage with casual outfit and performing ‘Nobody’. They even come down to audience, share the mic and sing together with some audiences.
What a great show from Wonder Girls where Wonder Girls can bring satisfaction for various audiences. Boys, girls, parents, and children can be seen among all audiences that night. Minimalist stage but it doesn’t look minimalist because it’s completed with good lighting and great performance make Wonder Girls: Wonder World Tour in Jakarta become a good show to enjoy.
