Press conference for Wonder Girls’ first concert in Jakarta, titled Wonder Girls Wonder World Tour in Jakarta 2012 take a place at Songket Room of Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta. Even though the press conference was delayed for half an hour from schedule, all medias not lost their excitement to meet and have a chance to interview with one of biggest girl group in South Korea, Wonder Girls.

Wonder Girls is five-members girl group from South Korea which consist of Sunye as the leader, Yenny, Yubin, Sohee, and the maknae, Lim. Wonder Girls are managed by famous singer and songwriter, J.Y.Park under his management, JYP Entertainment. Who doesn’t know their hit single, ‘Nobody’, which is making Wonder Girls goes worldwide. ’Nobody’ becomes Wonder Girls’ breakthrough at 2008 where they received some music awards, including ‘Song of the Year’ at MNet’s KM MUsic Festival.

In 2012, Wonder Girls is back with their latest mini album with ‘Like This’ as the title song for it. Wonder Girls also already made their debut in Japan with releasing debut album, titled ‘Nobody for Everbody’. In 2012 Wonder Girls also release new single in US, titled ‘Like Money’ which they making collaboration with Akon.

The press conference started with a bright greeting from Wonder Girls, the girls also talk a little in Indonesia word like ‘Apa kabar’ and ‘terima kasih’, the event continue wih first photo session. For this opportunity, Wonder Girls wearing their outfit like seen when they performing ‘Like This’ in some music show. When asked what’s the preparation for their first concert in Jakarta, Wonder Girls showing their excitement and said that they can’t wait to meet with Indonesia fans. Wonder Girls also mentioned that they prepare special outfit just for concert in Jakarta.

Variation questions comes up during Q&A session between Wonder Girls and the media. From light question like what Wonder Girls think about Indonesian guy, which Wonder Girls gives a respon and said that they think Indonesian guys are so hot and of course bring good response from media. Wonder Girls also share how to keep their perfect body with keep exercise and working out instead of just do a diet.

When asked what’s each member favorite song, Lim answered that she choose Like This as her favorite song because she likes hip hop music and like the dance move. Sunye picks Nobody, while Sohee choose Like Money as their favorite. The girls also shared what song that they listening recently. Lim who likes hip hop music said that Jay Chou becomes artist that the song she listening to recently, while Sunye who so into opera like to enjoy opera music.

Talked about music, Wonder Girls also said that Beyonce, Spice Girls, and Katy Perry become role model and give influence for their career. They also mention that they want to make collaboration with Mariah Carey in the future. Wonder Girls also said they’re happy when Indonesia know about Korea song, but they would like also to know more about Indonesia, specially the culture.

Another light question comes up when media asked about rookie groups. Wonder Girls shared that they like to check their junior and said that some of them are cute, even Yenny shared her opinion about their junior in the company, JJ Project.

Wonder Girls also shared that when they have a performance with Stevie Wonder at UN become a momerable moment for them as a group because it’s a good achivement to have a performance with a legend.
