Park Cho Rong was first introduced to the public through the Japanese version music video of Shock by Beast. She was the second official member to be announced by A Cube Entertainment.

It was also later revealed that she once auditioned for JYP Entertainment together with SISTAR’s Dasom, which was held in 2009. She then moved to Cube along with some other JYP trainees. She lived in G.Na’s dorm with Bomi for 8 months before their group debuted.
Cho-rong was born in Chungcheongbuk-do, South Korea. She has one older sister, and one younger sister. She attended Byungsul for Kindergarten, Bukang for Elementary and Middle school and Chungbuk for High School. Her nicknames include rongrongie, mama rong, rong leadah, rongcho. Majority of her nicknames come from the fact that she is the leader of the group and she is seen as very mother like to her group. Even though she is the oldest, she is often mistaken as the maknae in her group because of her young looking face.
Cho Rong learnt Hapkido for eight years since childhood, and has a 3rd grade black belt. Her father actually owns a Hapkido center. Aside from Hapkido, Cho Rong enjoys dancing, watching movies, washing dishes for her group. She enjoys eating chicken feet. Her favorite colors include red and pink while her favorite numbers are three and seven. She prefers running shoes over wearing heels. Her favorite types of movies include those with a lot of action in it. She describes herself as a shy but friendly person. She is also the biggest troll in A Pink. She shares that some of her bad habits include picking her hands and answering questions addressed to her late.
Her Role mode as an individual is BoA while her role model as a group is S.E.S. Her ideal type includes someone skinny with a manly personality who has no double eyelids. She admits to being a fan of Teen Top’s niel, F.Cuz’s Jinon and FT Island’s Jaejin.
Chorong had been casted for MBC’s sitcom, “All My Love“! She was to fill the void of Brown Eyed Girls‘ Ga-In, who decided to depart from the program. Chorong played the role of a highly popular part-time worker who is loved by all of the children in the fictional town.
Yang Jang Mo who was part of a show called “Star Audition: The Great Birth” shared that Park Chorong was his student. He was his vocal trainer for 2-3 months before she became a trainee. He described Cho Rong with: “She did not change a thing. She was different from other kids when it comes about singing. I thought she would become someone special.” “Back then, she sang well and really tried her best.” He also explained, “When I thought she was same A Pink Cho Rong as before, I was proud of her and felt great because she was one of my student.”
