A Pink is a seven-member girl group under A Cube Entertainment, a subsidiary company of Cube Entertainment.

Cube Entertainment is known to house artists such as male idol group BEAST and BtoB and solo artist G.Na. A Pink is the first Idol group to debut under A Cube Entertainment.

Before their debut, the members of A Pink have been featured in various videos of idol group Beast. The first member to be revealed was Son Na-Eun. She was featured in the videos ‘Soom,’ ‘Beautiful’ and ‘I Like You the Best’ which were released in late 2010. Park Cho rong, the groups soon-to-be leader was the second member to be introduced through the Japanese version of Beast’s ‘Shock.’

After the videos were released, it was later revealed that a new girl group coming form the sub-division of Cube Entertainment known as A Cube Entertainment was going to debut. On February 21, 2011 an official twitter account for the the company of the group was created. A Cube’s official twitter account then revealed it’s 3^rd member Oh Ha-young. Soon after, the fourth member, Jun Eun-ji was revealed through a video released by A Cube’s twitter. The video featured Eun ji singing her own rendition of Jennifer Hudson’s ‘Love You I Do,’ showing her impressive vocals. Hong Yoo-kung was then revealed as the fifth member through a video of her playing piano and lastly the final 2 members, Yoon Bomi and Kim Namjoo were revealed.

Before their official debut, a documentary entitled ‘A Pink News’ aired on a Korean cable channel named TrendE. The documentary showcased the debut process of A Pink with it’s pilot episode airing on March 11. The documentary showed the days leading up to the group’s debut. For their debut they stated: “We want to be able to differentiate ourselves from the other girl idol groups with our refreshing and innocent images.”

For each episode of ‘A Pink News,’ various artists participated in the introduction of the group. Celebrities who participated include: G.NA, Mario, MBLAQ’s Seung Ho and G.O, Beast, 4minute, 2AM’s Jinwoon, Infinite’s Sunggyu and Sungjong, and Secret’s Sunhwa and Hyosung.

The group officially made their debut on April 21, 2011 with ‘Mollayo,’ and have made amazing progress as idol group since then.
