After the announcement of Tony An leaving his MC post in M! Countdown, it has been officially revealed by  PD Jung Yoo Jin of M! Countdown that F.T. Island member Hongki will be the new MC starting August 30.

The M! Countdown producers mentioned that Lee Hongki possesses great qualities that will make him an outstanding host. They also said: “he is fluent in Japanese and is very popular overseas, therefore we have selected him as the most suitable to host the global music chart show, M! Countdown.”

Watch out Hongki’s first official appearance on August 30 on M! Countdown!
