The KBS hit drama series “IRIS” is confirmed to have its sequel next year.

Taewon Entertainment is currently on the pre-production stage of the TV series’ second season. The production company mentioned that they are in the process of revamping the original series and have yet to talk about casting. They officially mentioned that their goal is to air the series next year.

“IRIS” is an espionage series that dominated the primetime lineup while it was airing during October 14 and December 17 2009. Some of the stars who participated in the series include Kim Tae Hee, Jung Joon Ho, Kim So Yeon and Big Bang member T.O.P. Because of its undeniable success, “IRIS” was made into a film entitled ”IRIS: THE MOVIE” in 2010.
