Korea’s popular variety show, We Got Married, is going to be produced into global edition and aired all around the world.

On July 18th, MBC and Sony Pictures Entertainment Network Asia have signed a contract stated that MBC will produce the global edition of the show while Sony Pictures will distribute it to more than 40 different countries including China, Taiwan, India, Australia and more.

The global edition of We Got Married will pair and film two individuals from two different countries as a virtual married couple so they can learn and understand each other’s cultures.

There will be around 12 to 15 episodes per season with the season one is planned to strike sometime in the end of 2012 or in early 2013.
