On January 11th, Girls’ Generation first japanese album ‘Girls’ Generation’ got over  the one million copy shipments mark after a half year released on June 1st 2011.

This new record broke the last record by their labelmate and senior BoA, who have been surpassed1.29 million copies with “Listen to My Heart” in 2002. In their first appearance in Japan, Girls’ Generation got the top spot on the Oricon chart and stayed there for thirteen weeks.

After ended their promotion in Korea, the girls released the repackaged version of ‘Girl’s Generation-The Boys’ on December 28th. Positive responds came along with them and finally they can surpassed the one million copy shipments mark. Congratulation!
